Job Description:
Our Ottawa based governemnt client is seeking an Application Software Architect fro a contract running from date of award until July 2010 plus 2 optional 1 year periods.

All candidates must possess Enhanced Reliability security clearance.

Scope of Work:
The work required is to develop, deploy and maintain Release 3.0 of the MPMO Tracker as per the business requirments identified and defined by the business architect. The core of Release 3.0 will incorporate the design of enhanced reporting and tracking functionalities, the implementation of security standards as per recommendations outlined in a recent Threat and Risk Assessment (TRA), and the development and release of Aboriginal Crown Records Management system within the tracker application.

Objectives:
- enhance reporting and tracking capabilities as per business requirements
- implement security requirements as per TRA recommendations and departmental policy
- develop and integrate the Aboriginal Crown Records management system
- provide the MPMO with up-to-date technical documentation
develope enhancements to UI as and when directed by MPMO project office

The ideal candidate will have::
  • a minimum of 10 years experience as a Programmer/Analyst
  • a minimum of 5 years experience in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of web-based applications and database driven web-sties
  • a minimum of 5 years experience using VB.Net
  • a minimum of 5 years experience developing User Interface Design
  • a minimum 1 year experience in applying Common Look and Feel (CLF2) guidelines and Duty to Accommodate policy to Government of Canada web sites
  • a minimum of 5 years experience in a 3-tier architecture using Oracle as the back-end database.
  • experience performing the role of Lead Programmer Analyst in a .Net environmnet
  • experience using all of the following technologies on the same project: Visual Basic, .Net in Visual Studio 2008, .Net Framework 3.0, Oracle 10g, Visual Source Safe, Crystal Reports
  • experience working in the regulatory process for 5 major projects in Canada
